The Biogents Mosquitaire device is a highly effective anti-mosquito protection (trap) specifically targeting tiger mosquitoes, and its use is ecological, non-toxic, odorless, and silent.
The BG-Mosquitaire EU kit comes with its accessories and an advanced air intake nozzle. This is equipped with a flap that closes automatically as soon as the trap is no longer powered by electricity. Thus, captured mosquitoes cannot escape.
Can be used for treatment around terraces, garden gazebos, craft and agricultural workshops, garages, or even small industrial premises. It ensures continuous protection thanks to a refill that can be effective for up to two months.

The BG-GAT from the Biogents brand is a simple and easy-to-use trap in the fight against the tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) and the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
Compared to the Biogents Mosquitaire trap, it targets mosquitoes at a different stage of development. In order to lay eggs, mosquitoes look for a place to deposit them. The BG-GAT has the advantage of being a passive trap, meaning it requires neither electricity nor attractants like CO2 or other fragrant mixtures. This trap uses water to attract mosquitoes looking for an egg-laying site. Once inside the trap, the mosquitoes are exposed to a sticky surface and die.

Combining the BG-GAT and the Biogents Mosquitaire adds a new dimension to mosquito control: the Biogents Mosquitaire targets mosquitoes in search of blood and the BG-GAT attracts mosquitoes in search of a breeding site. The combined use of both traps offers an ideal and innovative solution to mosquito problems.

No insecticide or pesticide is used in the device's mechanism; it is a 100% natural solution. Its system features a fan that creates an upward air current, mimicking the warm air currents produced by a human being, which attracts tiger mosquitoes. This same fan also creates a downward air current that sucks nearby mosquitoes into the trap where they dehydrate and die.

The Biogents Mosquitaire is not a threat to insects such as bees, butterflies, or ladybugs. It is not dangerous for the environment: it acts exclusively against mosquitoes and tiger mosquitoes.

Usage tips
Offering a very high capture rate, the Biogents anti-mosquito Mosquitaire must be positioned in a way that achieves optimal results. For this, it is recommended to place the device sheltered from the wind, in the shade, and about one meter away from vegetation or any potential water points. You can also test several different locations to see where the mosquitoes are caught more, as the context may prove slightly different depending on temperature, wind, or humidity levels. The Mosquitaire is rain-resistant, but it is advised not to leave it out too long in case of heavy rain to maintain its physical integrity optimally. Mosquitoes will appear even more after several days of downpours, as larvae multiply according to the number of water points potentially established in the surroundings.

In case of very heavy infestations (including tiger mosquitoes), we recommend the use of biological larvicides such as Vectobac WG.
